What Are Irregular Periods?
Women often struggle with irregular menstrual cycles. Each woman has a unique menstrual cycle, typically lasting between 28 and 30 days. This cycle is viewed as being “healthy.”
But if your cycle can go longer than 35 days, it might be the result of irregular menstrual cycles. If the interval between the two cycles constantly changes and your periods start earlier or later, they are regarded as irregular. Irregular menstruation is medically known as oligomenorrhea.
In Ayurveda, irregular periods are mainly linked to Dushti of Vata & Pitta in the Artava vaha srotas (reproductive channels). Stress, poor digestion, hormonal imbalance, improper diet and lifestyle disturb the natural Ritu chakra (menstrual cycle)
